Andrew in his Big Boy Bed

Tonight is the first official night in the Big Boy Bed!!!! Andrew's crib has been taken down. Can't believe my little guy is this big!!! I think I might give the bed to our Foster agency and hopefully another little one might be helped by having it. I also gave away our changing table. I had gotten it from the Goodwill Consignment store when we first got Andrew, more than three years ago now! I donated it back tonight, hopefully another family will get as good use out of it as we have. We put Andrew's new desk in his room too, it looks really nice.

Here are the words of a song from the Signing Time cd I have. Really rings true in my mind tonight as my very big boy sleeps in his new bed!!!

Tiny Hands

Tiny hands, fists closed tight
Tiny dreams held inside
Tiny hands, how they’ve grown
Like the babe I used to know
Tiny mouth, button nose
Eyes closed tight, breathing slow
Tiny face how it’s grown
Like the babe I used to know
For me it feels like yesterday, just yesterday to me
I looked into your tiny face, your tiny face held me
Of course I know all children grow
All children grow, of course I know
I didn’t know how fast you’d grow
Tiny feet, awkward now
Pirouette, take a bow
Tiny toes, how they’ve grown
Like the babe I used to know
For me it feels like yesterday, just yesterday to me
I looked into your tiny face, your tiny face held me
Of course I know all children grow
All children grow, of course I know…..
But I didn’t know how fast you’d grow
Tiny child, fall asleep
Close your eyes, find your dreams
Tiny child how you’ve grown
You’re still the babe I used to know

Resting up after the visit!

Visit with Renie and Rachael

My sister Laurene and her daughter Rachael came to visit us this month!!! We had such a wonderful time. We got to do quite a bit of sightseeing. We went to the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, here we are riding on the trolly on our way there.

Visit with Renie and Rachael

We spent the rest of the day in Tacoma seeing the sights! The kids were pretty tuckered out at the end =0)

Visit with Renie and Rachael

We took the Bremerton Ferry to Seattle to go to the Needle and the Pacific Science Center where we went to "Grossology" and got to see the butterflies among other things! We had a really nice day!
