Adoption Day June 2, 2008

We have been an official family two years ago yesturday. I had to work last night so today we had a quiet dinner at home and we also got an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen that Andrew and Nicole picked out. We just didn't have time to make our own, so this was a nice idea the kids really liked. I thought we had some plain candles at home, but we didn't so we ended up reusing some numbered candles we had, so that is what the 3 and 4 was all about. It worked.

Can't believe the time is going by so fast. I really like the Kenny Chesney song "Don't Blink". It talks about a man who is 100 years old and being interviewed on TV and talks about how life passes by so fast, so don't blink. I am feeling like that today. I am so blessed to have these children in my life. I have to pinch myself sometimes. I try to remind myself even when things get crazy and frustrating with two kids who are beautiful, but have some special things going on and communication with them can be so frustrating, these days will never be here again, so I try and take a deep breath and remember how blessed we really are. Shake it off mom, things could be worse, and look how good you really have it!!!
