Hi everyone. We took the kids to the dentist last week. They are both 4 years old. I think I was 10 the first time I went to the dentist. We were probably a bit older than some other kids, but I don't know, maybe not? It seems awfully young to take your kids to the dentist. But I find out that some moms take their kids in at 6 months!! That astounds me really. What on earth do you do at the dentist at 6 months? Anyways, the kids did just great. I was pleasantly suprised. The battles we have had at home about teeth brushing, I just didn't think there would be any way they would hold still for it, but they realy did just great. They even got some x-rays done, which was pretty impressive, even the dental hygenist said some kids this age just don't hold still! Andrew looks like he will be losing some more of his teeth soon per the dentist as he read the films. He said Andrew is quite the over acheiver on dental maturity at this age. He even has an adult molar back there! This means we have to be extra proficient at his teeth brushing, as most kids his age are no where near getting these teeth at this age. He did say the teeth spacing can be an issue with this early developement, but it looks like at least now he has room for them to come in. Maybe he might need some braces in the future. Also, looks like Nicole has an overbite, but may correct itself later. Sure hope so. Two in braces later? Sigh. Nicole is more "normal" in her teeth development, not losing any teeth any time soon. I was very proud of them! They got a certificate and every thing!!
