Fun in the Mud

The kids were having some fun in the back yard yesturday. We are planning on doing some structural changes of the back deck, and so have let our herb garden go this summer, hoping we would get the work done, but life is nuts, as I have mentioned before. So anyways, the kids have kind of taken over the herb garden, it is a great place for them to dig in the dirt with their shovels. Between their digging, and the dogs helping out too, there has become quite a trench where we used to plant our tomatoes. Well, Andrew decided to add water yesturday. Actually it didn't get as crazy as I thought it might. They never did jump in, unlike some other person I remember who with her three other sisters got quite dirty, with Oklahoma red mud! You might want to ask my mom about it... It did bring back some memories!!!

PS: Steve was talking with his mom this morning, saying how all Nicole wants to do is be a girly girl and paint her fingernails. Well, maybe she likes that stuff, but she has no qualms about playing hard with her brother too. She might do it in a tutu, but I really think she can still hold her own. Also, if you didn't notice, check out her hand as she blows kisses, grimey little thing!
