The new tent

We are going on vacation next week! We have always gone to Grandmas and Grandpas houses for our vacations before. I don't think we have ever actually spent the night out of our house together as a family anywhere but at Grandmas and Grandpas houses. I am going to be cross training to work in the ICU at work, I will still stay in the float pool, but will be able to float to the ICU too after I am done. After that there will only be the OR that I can not float to. That is okay by me, I don't really like surgeons all that well and to be in small tiled rooms for hours at a time and with them holding sharp impliments, not my idea of fun anyways... So I will be doing about 12 weeks or orientation, and I will be working my regular Friday and Saturday night shifts, but will also be orienting on Tues and Wed day shift for those twelve weeks. So next week is the last five days off I will have for the summer. Soooo, we have decided to take a little vacation. Steve started planning two days ago, and we have decided to go to the Ape Caves http://vulcan.wr.usgs.gov/Volcanoes/MSH/ApeCave/description_ape_cave.html down at Mount St. Helens for two days and then to Cape Disappointment http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cape_Disappointment_(Washington) for two days. We went to Walmart and got a very cool tent and Steve is getting out our old back packing stuff so we can get all prepared. We set the tent up in the back yard this morning and the kids are having a ball. We got them some of their own sleeping bags and an air mattress for us. We should have a lot of fun.
