Update on us

Well, I have not been doing as well at all with posting this year! It is busy and crazy, and we just don't have enough time in the day. An update on our house hunting expedition...We give up. That's the short story, but basically we put offers on three houses, none of which came through for multiple reasons. So we are pretty bright, Steve and I, and it just looks like that door is closing and it is just not in God's time for us. This is actually a relief in some ways, but disappointing in others. We are glad to not have to go through the effort of a move, we really didn't find anything that we liked as much as our own home's lay out, even though we would have liked to increase our square footage, and have a bedroom that is a little farther away from the action for me as I sleep after my night shifts, but that is okay. We really hated to give up our nice big back yard for a smaller yard or one that was not as dog/kid friendly, so this makes it nice to stay put. Also we hated to leave the neighborhood and our friends we have here. We really do have a nice safe neighborhood, and I sure did not want to lose that. We are planning on doing home schooling next year and then the next year we will just have to wait and see. So that is the end of our saga. So instead Steve and I went ant got ourselves a new hot tub! It is kind of mothers day, fathers day, birthday and anniversary present all rolled up into one. Our hot tub went on the fritz about three weeks ago now, and we finally bit the bullet and bought a new fancy dancy one that we are very excited about. We are ordering it from Arctic Spas, a company out of Alaska, so it will take about 4-6 weeks before we get it. We can't wait!

Andrew and Nicole were sick last week. We were in the docs office twice and the ER once! That is the sickest I have ever seen these two, I took off the weekend because the fevers were up in the 103-104 range, and I half way thought they might need to be admitted to the hospital, but we did lots of ibuprofen, and lots of sleeping, lost of ice cream for breakfast when I could get it down them, because they weren't eating anything else. We got a call from our peds clinic today saying that Nicole ended up having strep throat after all, even thought the rapid strep was negative in the office, the culture grew out positive. So there is antibiotic waiting for us at Walgreens in the morning. What fun, huh? (I hope you can feel the sarcasm dripping from your computer!) Anyways, here are a few cute pics that we have taken lately, and a little video. We were having fun with another caterpillar yesterday and I actually took a pic of Nicole, and this is her on the mend if you can believe it. As Steve says, she looks like she has been on a three day bender!

Anyways, hope you guys are fairing better than we have been, but we are on the mend!
Love you all,
Earline
